Estus Flask
Can we get something like the estus flask from dark souls? I think the current healing system is kinda bad, you either are low on food and have to farm, which is tedious, especially if youre struggling with a boss, or you can just keep farming, have absurds amount of healing and just trivialize everything.

Why do we always need to go back to the same mechanisms of other games. Let the cook.

food is good, ♥♥♥♥ flask xD

i like the food system. the only issue might be too many different kinds of resources cluttering up the inventory, which could be solved by giving us 99 stacks

well they did aim for a soulslike combat, and the healing system in souls games is just...perfect

i dont understand the logic foods are unlimited but you want a limited use estus flasks ?

i mean i can make like 40-60 food and keep it and use it my unlimited source of healing items its more ez then flusks but you want to make it harder ?

But they have many different thing that set it apart from it, and this is another thing. When you see all the work already done with harvest types, a flask will undermine all that, it's not needed.
You can want what you want ofc.

I'm on team Estus Flask. I think undermining the food system is the goal.
There is something to be said for tightly controlling and balancing the amount of healing players get between rest points. It's just the gold standard at this point. Wicked's food system brings back DeS/Bloodborne PTSD of farming for bloodvials for hours anytime you hit a road-bump.

but of course it is the way it is, and an Estus Flask system wouldn't work with Wicked's mechanics anyway. It probably won't change side from minor balance.

So does this game need to use the Estus flask approach?

Nah, we've got souls already. I'm glad Moon try something different for a change. Especially I grow more and more fond of food instead of estus

I really hope not, i enjoy the cooking and the buffs you get before the next couple of fights. Not a big fan of streamlining everything down for the mass, it breaks the chill immersion.
