Soulslike or SoulsLITE?
You die often and have to restart, right? But you get stronger with each death because you keep your experience level. Isn’t this a characteristic of a soulsLITE game?

You don't lose levels in souls games ether....

The whole game is like Dark Souls, except the dying.

Right now you are not punished for dying, and when you kill something it stays dead.

When you get to the second area mobs will respawn when you leave and come back, but while you are playing through the zones after the first, everything stays dead.

As a Souls player I enjoy mobs respawning after I die for the challenge of exploring the level.

They also have short cuts like Dark Souls, but you never use them because there is no death penalty.

Great Game though. I've got 46.6 hours in right now. Definitely has a good story and voice acting. Can't wait to see the game progress from Early Access.

You only loose "exp" in Souls when you die twice consecutively, without retrieving your souls. But then again mobs respawn at each death in Souls games, they don't here so there's not really a point to add this exp retaining feature.

I was a bit sad to see enemies don't respawn. The combat is decent enough so IMO it's a nice feeling engaging with enemies as you go through areas, but I don't mind too much eitherway.
