Problem is, however, you are not supposed to be punished for being lighter, quite the opposite.
If you're lighter, you should be nimbler and thus receive a better roll. In this case, the best roll altogether is medium weight roll because it allows you to dodge in a very forgiving way, which doesn't feel right AT ALL.
It's a rough estimate, but you simply need to roll towards where the attack is going, meaning even if you're iframing the attack, when the iframes end it will still hit you, and you need to measure how long it takes for the iframes to disappear.
It would be funny to have better dodge at normal :)
The heavy roll in DS had some ridiculous i-frames as I recall, but it was the recovery that made it abysmal.
