If nothing else, the game being in EA, offering people a respec during this period will make it a LOT easier for people to test the game and find the fun. Because, starting over and over to move a single point around is a huge pain in the ass

I’m torn on it. I’m one of the weirdos who preferred Diablo 2 before they added a respec system. There’s something about the permanence and commitment I like. But another part of me feels like there are already enough slow/tedious things in this game that would make respec welcome.

Come on, respec up to three times as a reward for completing nightmare + hell was a pretty cool thing, considering that you make builds, which are golden in early game but suck later.
But I do agree that the possibility to respec as much as you like, does make the game less challenging/interesting

If it's not free I can agree, Like maybe you have to finish the main quest or something like that (for full release of course) in EA maybe just add a NPC that does it for 1 gold or something.

Some weapons need stats up to 42 (highest i've seen so far) or high investment in 2 stats. your level caps at 30 (stays at 0/8223) which gives you 90points to invest in stats.
So, if you spread your stats too much, you can't use tier 3 gear and have to start a new character. Doesn't help either that you need a lot of carryweight to keep up with armor (why is every tier heavier than the last?!) And even if i invest into the stats to use the weapon, the moveset might be terrible but i can't even test the moveset prior :steamfacepalm:

Yeah, it was at least a limited quest reward. You’re right. I certainly wasn’t upset about it by any means, but didn’t use it very often.
