Heal Aura Rune

Has anybody figured out how this works?
I have enough focus to use it, but when I do use it, I'm not getting healed. The char does his animation, focus is being used, but no healing happens ... Does it only work in combat or also out of combat?

I thought mine was working, but now maybe its just my normal regen effect/s. In any case, all the weapon skills/runes need some context tips soon. Have to look them all up online in forums and such still, which seems weird even for early access.

Try to HOLD, instead of one tap rune button.

I do hold it. I'm aware it's channel skill, but it won't channel. Like I posted in my OP, the character goes into starting the animation but then cancels ...
