Tips - Quick Inventory Upgrade, Clay/Material Farm

Use your main character
- Buy 2x Shovel,Axe,Pick (best you can)
- start new realm
- farm beach for clay/copper/wood
- free blacksmith (optional)
- run to first boss and kill (higher level you are quicker this is takes me seconds at 28)
- enter city, check general good vendor (might have clay!)
- go to rookary and finish quest BOOM new inventory unlock.
- farm 2nd zone for Iron/Pine (Optional)

Now exit realm, go back to main realm and hand in building upgrade materials.
- Repeat
- create new realm.
- farm + kill first boss
- get inventory upgrade
- repeat

why would you do any of that?
stuff respawns naturaly?
even just doing some of the dailies you will have more than enough ressources?
why would you clock your limited storage with twice the tools when you can just town-portal back and forth and repairing costs literaly nothing (now especialy) and powder drops frequent?
i have never been so confused by a steam-forum than i've been here...that's gotta be some new record.

Have you tried farming clay? very hard to get. I've finished all content in game apart from upgrading buildings. Later on in the game Clay doesn't seem to drop as the zone changes with higher level mobs.

re-spawn of resources is very slow if you want to farm constantly my method allows you to farm clay/iron/copper/wood by making new realms.

Also you can max out your inventory by just killing the first boss over and over and it takes a minute or two to make a new realm, clear first boss get more inventory.

The 2x tools is because i want to be fast and efficient when doing my farming path/circuit I end up using one silver axe and one silver pick completely and don't want to have to go back to town to repair until the run is done (sure I could use repair powder only just got the recipe but my inventory is empty so why not carry 2). I'm not killing any monsters unless there in the way and not looting them because what I have is much better.

i am doing this aswell and today at some point clay just stopped dropping even on a brand new realm!

sorry, still don't get it
a) the clay thing is a balance issue
it was low initialy (probably cause the loot table for the ressource spot is larger)
and is kinda glitchy after the patch today;
b) i do not understand what is going on with your inventory, crafting ressource farm?
if you play "normal" you get a house, with practicaly unlimited (kinda) space.
town-portals are pretty frequent...and by that time you can unlock 2 ring slots and maybe a ressource or usuable slot.
i mean you do you, but just playing the game "normal", doing some bounties or challenges is more than enough?

I don't understand what you don't get? You need 50+ clay to upgrade every building to Max level. Its drop rate is really low. I wanted to upgrade every building to max to see what they sell / recipes etc. So I farmed clay using the above method rather then waiting the very long re-spawn timers. There is nothing else left in the game for me to do.

I unlocked every weapon slot, every ring slot, every inventory slot etc by just speed farming the first boss and handing in the quest.

Have you reached endgame? Completed the "training" arena and upgraded every building to max level just by doing Bounties (that don't give resources...) then that's impressive. You do You.

There are several posts about people wanting clay, I found a way you can farm it and its also a way to max you inventory and slots of characters really quickly.

I am on my knees begging for clay... I'll try this strat because so far it's impossible to find clay once you get past a certain level.

I'm curious, when you start a new realm does the stuff in your community chest stay?

If you buy a house, will the house still be there on a new realm? The gear inside storage inside house as well?

Thanks I want to try this but I don't want to lose the progress I made already.

On your main realm your house, stash etc all stays the same. On the new realms they dont exsist.

You can farm on new realms, keep the gear/items in your inventory, swap to your main realm and then use that gear/items you farmed.

You cannot make repair powder. if i am wrong please reply and tell me how because making repair powder would break the game. as far as i know its a RARE drop

The whole crafting mechanic need reworking, having to do all this, is just bad game design. It's an ARPG not a farming simulator.
