WTF these ugly characters?

Was just a click away from buying the E. Access. Then I saw these ugly character design. I want to play a good looking slim young girl and not a clunky chunk. I dont care about to paraphizing this as body types, while it is obviously another diversity and woke pitfall. Are you determined to give us nice looking charackters in future. And over this the ability to change em if we starting now.

Pls, guys stop ruine this very promising game with this woke nonsense!

Western dev -> very likely to have DEI incentives in place -> developed recently -> characters made with a conscious effort to reject some sort of societal expectations on body type (by making them look goblins, how genius) -> the female character grunts like an ape when she swings
yeah, it all checks out to be pretty woke in regards to aesthetics, as far as I can tell.

But you know, I don't think the game is bad simply because it has woke elements and the main character is ugly. But I don't think it's a plus that it's ugly, and I find efforts to defend it more comical than the actual elongated-arm goblin-man that you see in character creation.

Hell, why do you feel the need for the character to be "not ugly", why limit the artists?

I love the art set up in this so far, more variation would be great in the future. but you do always need to have beautiful characters.... beauty is in the environmental setting... it all suits

Among the things woke people advocate for is the elimination of a distinction between what is perceived as traditionally male or female, body types included. Of course, there is are important, useful, and fundamentally realistic reasons why such distinctions exist, but the woke activist types aren't interested in properly discussing whether the pre-suppositions that their ideas are based on are correct. They just want things to change the way they want to because they're good people and everyone who disagrees with them are just bigots.
Anyways, the bodies for your character presented in this game are so comically out of proportion that it's reasonable to suspect some woke directors in the company actively discouraged or rejected character models that look attractive in the traditional sense.

-yes, it's cool to have your character be a weird guy with long arms. It's also equally as cool to be a person who's tall, attractive, and virtuous in a world full of grim. Too bad you don't have that option. If only they had a customizable body so that people of varying tastes can have their wishes. Interestingly, they had customization options for the face, lacking as they were. I guess a simple limb length slider was too much? Who knows how wokeys think.

I personally think this is the coolest a game has looked in a long while.

Woke probably has many definition depending on who you ask, but ffs, I have seen people timestamp one of the trailer and just saying "woke". The thing he timestamped? Just a character with dark skin, like how am I supposed to take that seriously in any way? I just presume everyone who says woke about something are that dumb, because most of the time it rings true. You though, I don't know, you at least articulate yourself, I'm not too informed on the whole SBI thing, and I don't really care to, because those who say they are a problem are insane anyway. I just don't get why it's so hard to accept that some people are different, and just move on with ones own life.

yeah, the art style of the game is actually quite good and is a big appeal for a lot of people. It was for me. A lot of the things in this game can be attributed to its art style. But the current character creator? Artstyle or not, it's not very good lol. We can all at least agree on that, right? But as you said, it is stll early access and we'll have to see.

and yes, I know the anti-wokeys can be equally as stupid as the ones who think men can be women anytime they feel like. But I sympthasize with the anti-wokeys because it's a reaction to a movement that's being propelled by people in positions of influence, like academia, agencies, social activist groups, etc. SBI is a good example.

I think we all know people are different and we don't have a problem. We have a problem when people who say they're doing things for "diversity, equity, and inclusion" start only approving of differences they like and call differences they don't like "problematic". People can like traditionally feminine aesthetics as much as people can like burly women. It's unfortunately only the woke people who have insisted that liking one thing is bad and liking the other is good. The current complaints about the character for this game is because there isn't an option to make your characters look better. If there were, these complaints would disappear immediately.

Ugly. I'm so sorry. You're not on a porn site dude. You're not dating the game characters. You're playing an awesome game with fantastic ideas that's in early access. Enjoy the mods when they come out later. And as for the character models....does anyone else feel like they slightly resemble the Ori skeleton with animation? Kinda the hulking shoulders and the big limbs gave it away. I see you moon studios. Reuse what you can.
