Map markers

While the possibility of placing our own map markers is great, I don't think the marker icon should stay on the screen ALL THE TIME. Sure, show it on the map screen, but not on the main game screen. Not a biggie, I know, but it's irritating and is something easy to fix.

I agree, I wanted to mark all the chests and resources locations but it would be a big mess. At least a toggle should be added if not some kind of proximity activation.

Map markers should only show up on your N E S W (North East South West) Compass

Althrough you don't rotate in the game, there could be a compass which direction is north

Compass would be very helpful as your always know which direction your going.....

I completely agree.
Due to the flickering icons on the screen during the game, I immediately stopped using the map markers function. it's annoying.
