Jump, run and dodge on one button is terrible during 3D platforming
Common guys, wtf, we are not sitting with ps1 controllers here. Either make them on different buttons or at least give possibility to rebind it. I'm already goining crazy from ammount of times I jumped into pit, because if hero at least somehow close to edge game thinks I want to finish my live.

This is a huge problem with this game. I keep falling into areas I'm 'trying' to jump across. Jumping is a game mechanic that shouldn't ever be this difficult.

But the jumping is just holding A and running toward a gap. There isn’t a way to just press a button to “jump” out of nowhere is there? Same with vaulting - it’s a press and hold, then walk toward the obstacle. With dodging being the only “tap” of the button, I haven’t had a huge issue with accidental rolls. I’m sure it can be refined though… and they really need to add rebinding.

This might be a deal-breaker for me. Too many "automatic" functions in one button.

There should be an auto-run option...

While i hold run, i am able use the full range on my controllers analog stick. I can fully control my chars speed from walking to running. But why do i have to hold the run button for that? And then release it and press again to dodge? Makes no sense. The "running" should be the default so i can dodge while running AND react quicker.

You literally just press run and then a direction. It's really not that complicated.

Add a separate jump button please, context sensitive traversal sucks.

Apparently it is.

Can't imagine how folks can't handle not holding sprint 24/7 and just taking a second to focus their pathing.

There is a section when you literally can't just stay and take a moment to decide where to go, because enemies attack you from a distance and you on platform with pit all around.

Yeah, later in the game. It's not like you're still learning how to play when you get to that point, you should be used to the controls by then. If not, then take earlier sections slower, go elsewhere and practice.
