Clicked on stream- and he was in the middle of a huge rant about whether or not it was paid promotion.
Seemed really defensive about it and he sat on the topic a little too long.
Very sus.
Well, maybe not so shocked.
1.) In runs horribly (I'm getting max 80 FPS with a i9-12900K and 3070Ti and 32GB of RAM at 1080P which drops FREQUENTLY at 20-30FPS during combat) I posted on their forum for what it's worth but I'm not getting my hopes up.
2.) It's not a classic ARPG or Diablo-like at all, it's a souls-like with chunky sluggish combat.
3.) The durability system is freaking awful. If your armour is broken, you can't even fight mobs to repair it, you're just screwed.
Overall this is a chocolate covered turd. Looks very pretty from the outside but once you get past that, it's sh**
How were you not aware of this, though? It's been one of the more emphasized aspects of the game. This is more of a personal disappointment you're having than an actual problem. I am specifically interested in this game because of its combat and encounter setups. I didn't want another modern-day Diablo experience.
Besides the fact that people have cleared the first boss naked (meaning the point about being "just screwed" is debatable), have you considered getting hit less so your armor lasts longer?
That's what makes me the most weary. No amount of love for Ori would make me want to deal with sliggish isometric combat meant to evoke the "souls" feeling. Especially when you have games like Hades which has incredibly tight controls that feel so good to play.
Wow, that sounds extra yikes. As someone who probably would die more than the average....let's say action gamer....that makes me want to stay far far away.
