Incredibly GREEDY pricing for an EA title. This is a hard pass from me.
Sorry, good developers deserve to be rewarded, but to launch an EA title with a single chapter at this price is just plain greedy.

Whoever came up with the pricing strategy and those who agreed to it will be the reason your game won't be overwhelmingly positive and you'll just get less people buying it. People take content versus cost into consideration when leaving reviews and their overall feelings towards a game.

A shame such a great company has opted for the greed route. A hard pass from me, and I won't be buying any more of your games. Yes i'm only one person, but that's one customer you've lost.

Expecting customers to PAY to beta test and fix your game for you is quite simply shocking. Do you think people are stupid as it seems you do.

Don't like the price now, Wait a couple of years or so until it hits a -75% sale then buy it

$40 USD base price. $36 USD for the first two weeks, and $32 USD if you use an affiliate link
I will just use an affiliate link
I usually do 1$/enjoyable hour . Just in the EA I will probably play for 100h
15-25h or more on a character and I will try a 2-5 different character builds

I'm pretty sure I read that there is about 10-15 hours of game play at EA launch. This studio is not going to rip us off, trust me. They aren't some fly by night game developer who will disappear in a month or two.

Moon Studios following the path of greedy AAA developers and titles. Scumbags.

Agreed. Pricing is laughable here. They also mentioned it would be $31 launch week and it's now gonna be $35

If its too expensive for you, then skip it and leave the forums, its REALLY that easy.

AS for me and my friends, this is a buy in 2 hours, we have jobs and money, and dont really care about prices anymore, its called beeing an adult.

If you are a broke kid, then best of luck to you, get educated and start earning a living.

Hey Lord. Just have a critical thought process and relax for a moment.

Early Access. A Steam feature that has been here for many years. And has been a successful feature. Case in point - Baldur's Gate 3. Early Access for a specific period of time. Released as a fully fledged product and arguably, one of the best Games created in the last 5-10 years. The sheer amount of content, no season pass, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ etc etc etc. Above all that, working with the community during that journey.

Now. Forgive me. But. I live in Europe. £27.99. For a Game that will be in Live Development for a long time... I can't help but think... "Wow... what a bargain... I'll definitely buy it and help the developers develop a fantastic experience for myself and others".

Now. If it was £69.99. Like the AAA Titles have recently been getting released. Then sure. I can have sympathy towards you. However. I don't agree with you. As the evidence shows completely different outlooks.

You state that Moon Studio's have priced this product based on greed. Once again. I'm sorry. But I fully disagree with you. To highlight this further - There is an Early Access Product Price. Then in a few hours. Consumers will be able to go onto a Twitch Streamer's Channel. Click a link, and gain access to a more than delightful discount.

So lets just critical think here for another moment.

Early Access - It's not the full game. Nor have Moon Studios or the Staff suggested otherwise. They spoke about it yesterday. The Game itself can be "completed", in around 15-25 hours. This is the very start of No Rest for the Wicked. Right? An Early Access title. If you feel like the product price isn't for you. Hey. That's your opinion. However, this Game is about the journey. It's not necessarily about today. Even though for the Studio, it is very important to get off to a positive start with their playerbase.

To another point you made. "Expecting customers to PAY to beta test and fix your game for you is quite simply shocking." - You just summed up an Early Access title. That is indeed, what an EA product is. A testing environment.

Ever played Escape from Tarkov? Rust? Baldur's Gate 3? etc etc etc. All Early Access. All paid products. In testing phases. Which, like BG3, moved to a fully fledged product.

Now. I understand if you're emotionally invested with your post. I get it. I understand. However. Just critical think for a moment and maybe you'll see things alittle differently.

Enjoy your week

You spend way too much time explaining soemthing to someone you will never win over with your arguments. You are 100% right, but you are wasting your time here, these guys just wanna rant, nothing more.

I'm pretty sure it's already got the body type A or B option. (to ignore reality and score some ESG points, I suppose?).. but it's not a major issue in a game of this style. The characters look a bit odd anyway. Personally, I'm waiting for some reviews, etc before purchasing. Which is how EVERY new game release should be treated.

Cryptic. They've been working with Streamers for quite awhile now. A few months.

Basically. Once No Rest for the Wicked launches. Go onto one of the Sponsored Streamers. Click the link in their bio. Get the discount for Steam. It's that easy
I don't think discounts on steam work that way. I've never seen that in 13 years
