Affiliated discounts and Steam refunds.

How does this work? I just checked out how you can get the affiliated discount so the game only costs like 32 bucks or whatever. Anyway, the link sends you to what I assume is a third party site (is it?) and you can purchase the game there. You get a steam key. That said, how does the refund work? If this game doesn't run properly or is just not living up to expectations for whatever reason, can you still take advantage of the steam policy?

I assume this is not the first affiliated discount on steam ever made and I also assume there are people here who might know more about this. So whats what?

Steam doesn't grant refunds on 3rd party keys. So you would have to ask for a refund from the devs directly. No idea if they are offering that...

I don't think the Steam policy will apply since you're purchasing a Steam key for Wicked from a third-party site. It would be whatever return policy Private Division offers (if any) at that point.

There is confirmation that if you want the total of $8 of discount, you will have to use the affiliate link to buy the key outside Steam. That means you can't ask for refund here after the activation. The only chance would be asking for refund on the 3rd party store, but I believe refunds aren't going to work in any case.
Also, you can buy the game directly from Steam store for $35,99 with the 2 weeks early access discount.

I just emailed [e-mail] and linked my receipt telling them the reasons why I would like a refund. I will let you know if I ever get a response.
