You gotta understand, it costs so much more to make games these days. Nevermind that the gaming industry is larger than the movie or music industry combined, multiple times. And that so many more people buy A LOT more games. The poor companies need to make money.

This is all true. But this game is not complete and they want you to pay full price. For 40$ you get completed games

its like jump 50% - %80 market price thats not a answer, indeed they have to make money but not like this market prices should go gradually not directly jump that big amount

Higher price for games might be ok if the money really would reach the work force and not just the fat shark ceo's and shareholders. Studios like Larian proofed that you dont have to take 100 bucks to make a good game. Its just corporate greed people wake up and stop rewarding them.

People are having a harder time understanding the price since this is an early access game.
If this game released day 1 finished at $40 vast majority of people here wouldn't be complaining. If the game was and is excellent and most of all worth playing that "cost" doesn't matter anymore.
