Game doesn't work without the internet

Everything is fine with the internet, but when it is turned off you can still go into the game and click continue and after loading the game just crashes

This is meant to be a multiplayer game, they haven't released the co-op, nultiplayer elements yet. Oh and the community chest is sharable with friends, once they add in co-op.

Yea, I agree. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to have this be always online, there's absolutely no benefit it could give.

hope developers will do it like in the terraria or valheim so you need online only to play with friends

This is what they say right in the FAQ section, posted by the dev:

Q: Does the game require an online connection to play?
A: No :)

I first went offline with steam - worked!
Unplugged network cable - worked!

Confused by this thread now:)

EDIT: If this was intensional they should have a message that stated you got to be online. Not crashing!

Yeah I was sure I tried running this game offline and it worked fine before.
I'm not gonna bother trying again. Maybe later on but it would massively suck if it does.
And I can't refund anymore.
