Weird crash

Samsung NVME M.2 SSD

Playing in Performance mode.

I first started the game the day it released, but haven't touched it since, because life stuff. Decided to boot it up yesterday and today, both instances had a weird crash, my initial play had no issues.

A few minutes after loading, the game starts to drop FPS, everything comes to a crawl until eventually the game just crashes. But it doesn't crash to desktop. I just have no sound or video being output. Put out? Potato? There's no image on my TV or sound out my speakers is what I'm trying to say.

PC is completely locked up too, can't get back to windows, Windows key doesn't work, alt-tab, Ctrl alt del, alt F4, all for naught. Only thing that works is completely shutting off the PC and turning it back on again (it doesn't have a reset button).

It doesn't matter if I progress forward through the game, or backtrack to where I've been. I'm at the second blue save point thingy you come across, so not even in Sacramento yet.

It's really weird, because my original playthrough went without a problem.

That sounds like a hardware issue.

Just to follow up: the pump in the waterloop died and nothing got cooled. Got it fixed now.
