No Rest for the Wicked

Will Private Division shutdown affect the game development?
Just saw Take2 has gutted Private Division, is this game mostly developer funded or is this gonna negatively affect game development?

Take-Two owns Private Division. And awards don't mean a damn thing.

I don't know, but all this article says is "Two casualties of this restructuring are Roll7, the London-based developer behind OlliOlli and Rollerdrome, and Seattle-based Intercept Games, which developed Kerbal Space Program 2, according to documentation seen by Bloomberg."
So they are going to shut down 2 particular studios, not the whole Private Division as you stated imo :)

aye I was just referring to OP. First I heard of this so started searching. I see different outlets saying different things some don't mention Private Division. Others do. So my end not sure what is going. Just another scummy tactic from Take Two is all I see.

Aye, we can never be sure what's behind these acts, especially when a big corporate such as Take Two is involved. Let's hope that Moon Studios will not take a part in cost-cutting in the future. I'm sure that in that case they will not have much problems to find another publisher, but it may make the development much more difficult :)

KSP2 is an absolute disaster. Also created on the terrible Unity engine, but even worse optimized. Which is unfathomable, because they never managed to get KSP 1 to work well on it, so what went through their tight stupid little skulls to go "what if we made KSP 1.... BUT BIGGER... ON THE SAME ENGINE WE ALREADY CAN'T GET IT TO WORK ON!???"
Good riddance.

They CLEARLY SAID that they're not going to do daily hotfixes to avoid introducing more bugs and balance issues. Stop being paranoid and pay attention before you post.

based on the article, private division ain't shutting down. they simply shutting down some projects and studios, moon studios is unnaffected.

as for the update, the ceo already said that from now on updates will be bigger but slower.

The only issue would be if they tie up the ip in the publisher. It happens pretty often and if that's the case it's hell trying to get the game back. I have been thinking about picking this game up in the near future but I am going to hold off for just a bit longer and make sure things shake out positively first.
