Why can't I play it on 8 gb ram
Minimum requirement should be 8 gb ram so people like me who are egarly waiting for it can play it . I bought the game inspite of pc requirement thought i may play it but unfortunate it shows black screen with sound no picture was displaying . Dev should fix this so we can play atleast with medium /low graphics.
I request refund it but don't know what to buy now 😞.

1. Because the game is too big to fit in 8GB RAM.
2. Because only people with potato PCs and terrible Macs have 8GB RAM. I don't even think they sell PCs with 8GB RAM anymore here.
3. It's in Early Access. Memory optimization might allow you to play it on 8GB RAM in the future. Though I doubt it.
4. With 8GB RAM, Windows is already eating almost or at least half of that. People seem to forget that you don't have 8GB RAM. You have 8GB RAM, MINUS what the operating system is using. So most likely you're sitting with 3 to 5GB RAM left.

I know it but my pc can play hogwart's legacy with low graphics which also required 12 gb/16gb ram to be played . So it would be good for the game to run on atleast 8 gb ram so most people can enjoy this game. I mean i played both Ori games So its too Frustrating not to play this game.

Ori have far far far far less assets that needs to be loaded.
Hogwarts Legacy I am surprised worked though.
Are you sure it's not your GPU that's outdated by the way? Because the game is using some pretty new features and effects.

Yeah, it should do fine. Well, you'll have to hope they optimize memory usage in the future then, and/or buy something else as ya said :P Played Death Must Die?

Depending on what DDR you are running RAM should be both cheap and easy to install for a good budget upgrade

8Gb of RAM has been an outdated standard even on the PS3 era of games

Recent games like Helldivers 2, Doom Eternal and Battlefield 2042 have a minimum 8GB RAM requirement. 8GB RAM isn't optimal in 2024 ofcourse, but it shouldn't be a limitation for games that look like this especially when even RDR2 managed to run on 8GB. Hopefully in the future it gets better optimization so that the low-end pc users can also experience it.

If RAM is your problem why don't you buy 16GB as it's less expensive than the game itself ?

Actually recent games run on 8 gb ram (DDR4) so i didn't thought about upgrading it , but now I should upgrade it.
SK-HYJINX May 2, 2024 @ 10:13pm
RAM isn't even that expensive...
Many games from YEARS ago have trouble with 8GB RAM systems, (I didn't say ALL) but many and it's ever increasing.
Things progress, your PC should also,... given the need of a specific game you want to play.

It may require you to upgrade RAM if you are running bare essentials.

Not RAM though. But worth a shot.
