delay between actions ?
I always feel a delay between pressing the button and the action actually happening in the game. Specifically, this occurs when I press the dodge button, and sometimes it doesn't execute the action, which forced me to press the button more than once, every time, to ensure that the character would dodge. Is this a bug or is it a game mechanic? If it's a mechanic, it's really annoying. I had to connect my controller with a cable to ensure it wasn't due to Bluetooth delay. The delay itself doesn't bother me much, as I can adapt to it, but not executing the action is really annoying. It forces me to always press more than once for fear the action won't be executed, making me spend more stamina than I should need.

out of stamina?
have you tried out of combat if there is always a delay?

i can see two reasons, first you didnt pay attention to your stamina and you are often out of stamina and can't dodge.
second (if for example when you press attack there is no delay) your gamepad button is out of order, maybe try in another game if there is a delay too.

Thats a hardware problem for you then, because the games combat and fps isnt even tied, meaning the combat is smooth and responsive even on low frames. Thats something the devs specifically worked on for this title.

Despite individuals saying its YOUR hardware, from my experience, its definitely the GAME.

The input buffer is too-long, it can often QUEUE up multiple dodges because the game often appears to DROP inputs during combat and I get a double-roll etc.

And like you said, this isn't an "Out of Stamina" issue.

I made a mention of this in an unrelated topic - If people here played FIGHTING games, like Street Fighter, Tekken or Smash, they would have a good frame of reference to how button-press, and action-delay is pretty BAD because buffer windows are A) too long, and B) delayed in execution.

AKA, the game needs work obviously, and I hope its addressed or a mention at some point soon.

Targeting feels like ♥♥♥♥, and button-presses / input delay / buffer window often feel like crap... Like, i hope they prioritize these extremely important aspects soon.

The game in the heat of combat, does not FEEL good in these instances, and it sucks for a game that revolves around timing/ reaction time etc - Like legit, the whole premise of a game like this passing/failing and its a bit of a fail at this moment.

14700k / rtx 4090 here.

Indeed. Go into your Player.log and it shows that the game / engine is suffering.

Holy crap, I checked the log... Lol, hehe, yea, the game feels glued together with ducktape, impressive I never experienced a crash.

I hope this becomes a Baldur's Gate 3 story, but I do hope it does not take 3 full years either -_-

Whenever it happens to me it's always stamina. Gets me all the time early game before I get a chance to invest in it properly.

Maybe it's just me, I've noticed it happening less frequently, maybe I'm starting to get used to this delay and adapting to it. But every now and then I feel it happening
