No. The price should reflect the value of the finished game because that is what you are paying for - you are just paying now to get in early during development.
It's safe to assume the finished game will be well worth that because of the calibre of the developer.
If the asking price is not worth it to you right now then that is fine. Just don't buy it and wait for reviews once the full game is released.
The developer has set the price based on what they have determined is appropriate for their product.
If they set the price too high, they will have to hit the market with sales and maybe even adjust the price downward in the future.
The price is a gamble, sure. But if the product is good, I am willing to pay it.
