$32 if you buy early + with affiliate discount

$40 for an early access game is a bit much.
Their whole discount through a twitch affiliate is not a great idea.. it's going to annoy a whole lot of people who don't care about supporting a twitch streamer. Adding extra steps doesn't do well for those who just want to play. This will cost them sales no doubt.

$32 if you want to get spoilers from streamers!
No thanks! I pay $36 for no spoilers!

Just open up twitch, mute it and forget it's there, that's what I do for all the in-game ♥♥♥♥ devs do lol.

Only problem is that this is not an in-game drop. They will give you a code in the chat sometime in the stream.
I will see If I do it on that day.

It doesn't look good if the devs have to pay influencers to play the game.

Oh yeah you're right, damn. That's a really crappy way for them to advertise the game then, I don't want to watch someone else play a game that I want to play through and experience that stuff myself. Especially streamers that only play Diablo style games and aren't good at souls-like mechanics.

It shouldn't be a code, but a URL for their affiliate link to the developer's store page. I would imagine most streamers will just have it pinned at the top of their chat while playing Wicked because they'd probably prefer that you use their link instead of another streamer's link. I suspect you'll just have to visit the stream, open the pinned comment, open the link in another tab, and you'll be done - continue viewing the stream if you want, or leave the stream if you don't.

It’s just marketing like any other kind. That’s like saying it’s a bad sign if a company has to make ads for their game.

It turns out the edition is one:? there will be no division into regular and gold/deluxe?

Baldur's Gate 3 was $60, this at least has a nice discount. Either way, you are free to wait until the game releases and hopefully explodes like BG3 did

Paying $40, $60 or whatever else to become a beta tester is $40, $60 etc too much, because there's no guarantee that the game will be finished, let alone finished satisfactorily. Both Larian and Moon have good track records so far, sure, but so did CDPR until the messy launch of Cyberpunk; it's human nature to make mistakes whether you have good intentions or not, so as a customer, why would you accept unnecessary risk by buying an unfinished game, rather than waiting until it's done and reviewed?
