No Rest for the Wicked

No Rest for the Wicked

How exactly do weapon drops work.
It is not at all clear how the rng works here. I have had two characters one that reached level 8. and my current one I started after realising I dint understand a few things and just wasted a lot of time and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up for myself. this character is level 9. I have yet to see a weapon drop that inst a dagger, the wood sword, a standard metal sword. the pick weapon or staff.
is there a level cap here that is not shown? I know there are 20 different weapons. I have fought many many many spear war hammer, great axe and other types of enemy's but never seen a single drop of those weapons. I feel like the weapon rates as it is in general are far too low. in addition if other weapon types are much later game then please don't give me "kill enemy's with a spear" right away if you don't intend for me to have one as one of my daily's.

as my feedback I think there should be more weapon variety early game. a few more weapon type drops would be good. as it stands the weapon variety is mostly tuned towards basic dex weapons. with the great sword and axe being the only strength weapons(ive never even seen one drop. just in the shop. and the axe sucks. its awful. imo of course.

am I just really this unlucky in like 8 hours of actual playtime and running around figuring stuff out and opening chests? Like I feel the weapon drops are wayyy too stingy in the early game at least. to the point where the starter weapon you get is it unless you pay for one. especially when I'm not really liking any of these move sets. I've seen move sets I like... on youtube. guess I'll just keep playing till I get to that point.

RNG is RNG but some weapon types do seem to have level or area specific requirements on them like the Scythe in my experience. Luckily there is a fail safe put in place which is Fillmore, the 1st merchant you are forced to come across, and he has a wide variety of options. Options with vendors, crafting and drops will open up once you get past Sacrament and especially when you start doing the Crucible. .

I think the bases drop based on area
Wanted to get myself a new Flaming Throw rune and the Pick drops consistently in the cave/bandit bridge area up from the glades

Might be wrong due to being completely anecdotal, but I didn't get a single Pick drop in the Quarry, ironic as that is
