WE NEED RESPEC
Once you invest into a main stats, you can't even try different weapons and builds later, you are stuck unless you create a new character and go through everything again. Please consider this as one of the main piority moving forward

Moon is working on it! Respec will come at a great cost and weapons can be used by anyone but at a disadvantage if you are not meeting the requirements.

It is possible to respec with cheats if you really want, it saves your new allocated stats as long as you havent added more points than actually received by level 30 (87 points)

Yeah I'm currently at level 10 and Riven Twins are a gate until I find better loot or get to try new ones, thing is every piece of new gear expects me to have dumped into INT or quality for my whole run and make a choice here and now

Also oh my god why doesn't the game lock when I shift tab what the actual ♥♥♥♥

It's not a gamebreaker for me, I like the game without respec.
I have several characters that specialize in certain fighting styles and it makes tem unique. Otherwise one character slot would suffice

Unless you gametime is very limited then no, your second character with xp potions lvlup super fast and the 3rd even quicker... and very soon you will have a ton of toons. It seems the game is not made for just having a single toon.

Its just me or the face is important when i create a char? I mean my mage usually looks like Gandalf, my warrior is bald like Kurgan and mean faced, my archer is slick with a goatee. Thats why i dont use respec much, all my chars are born to be one class or another, it would be even worse if this game had a creation system like Dragons Dogma 1.

I think they should remove the stat requirement from weapons all together, there are really a lot of different weapons in the game already but you are locked into useing maybe 3 or 4 of them.
A weapon without the matching stat points wont do much damage anyway, but at least you can try it out and see if it fits your playstyle.

Even letting us try out the movesets of the weapons with a -90% damage debuff if not meeting the requirements would be cool

I'd not have gone the quality build route if I knew how janky the weapon class is to use, now I have dead 6 str points spent lol

Why is Twitter being used as a developer diary platform lmao

yep, that problem starts very early in the game, when the first weapons you find require 11 stat points instead of 10, so you put one point into strenght to use a blue mace you found even though you might not use any strenght weapons later, you just wasted one stat point for ever.

No, no, no, if they remove this they remove a lot of the same mechanics DS uses for progression, weapons become more powerful as your stats go up, although someone said in another thread the devs messed it up here, Dark Souls has more of a bell curve to progression of stats, dont ask, i cant explain, but the guy did make a lot of sense in his explanation. Something about that soft cap and hard cap crap i never understood.

People need to learn how to save stats if they don't have the time to create a new character.
