Merchants went missing after upgrade

HI all! So, after upgrading both Eleanor, and Whittaker to the max tiers, they completely disappear from their locations. Gone. no building, no NPC, empty lots. Has anyone else run into this problem?
Will I have to revert to a backup save after hours of progress?
Does anyone know a fix?
Any info on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
I am otherwise really enjoying this game! I just hope there's a way to get these merchants back!
P.S. I have other realms in which they are still there, at the first level. Don't know yet if they will disappear in those realms as well, or if they just got bugged in my main realm save.

Check the map they moved into buildings!

they moved down the road a bit and are in buildings, Enchantress on the right side of the road, Carpenter on the left side of road building.

Ok, thanks all! Seems I had to quit the game and reload, upon reloading, the buildings finally spawned in and I can use the newly upgraded merchants!
