THERE ARE LOTS OF STREAMER IN CHINESE USING THIS BUG TO EARN MONEY , EVERYONE USING THE SAME EQUIPMENT. OPEN THE BOSS CHEST AGAIN AND AGAIN IN FEW SECONDS. I DONT KNOW WHY THIS OBVIOUS BUG ARE STILL NOT FIXED.

The whole game is a bug. Chest duping in the main feature!

Just tried this one out, and the bug attached to it that you can just quit the game and come back in no longer works.

Okay, so this is:
- Put things in chests you want to dupe
- Close to DESKTOP (Saves Realm & Backup)
- Open game back up and go into realm as normal
- Take things out of chests
- Close to MENU (Saves Character)
- Load up the most recent backup version of the realm
- - This loads your current character but the realm backup
- Items are still on character but are back in chests also

Wow yeah, this is probably what I did without even realising, I did it without using the backups but that must have been a glitch in how backups saved, I managed to dupe my entire materials chest once, couldn't figure out how to reproduce.

Honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do with this, the only thing I care about right now is respecing to try stuff, I've already completed the crucible like 30 times and got more materials that I know what to do with.

Might just dupe a bunch of Exp potions and insta level some other characters to try out different builds.

But I don't know how they are going to prevent this in the future, this is hard coded into the whole idea of multiple realms with backups.

They would have to remove the backups to counter this, as you can't alter characters by the realm as they could have went to another realm to gather or change items, and when you load the backup you replace all the items that were taken.

We are going to not have backups anymore in the future, it's the only way to counter this.

Only thing I think it mite be really useful for is duping a weapon to get the enchant you want on it.

It's even worse than I thought if you're gearing a character.

You don't actually need to dupe anything specifically or put them in special chests, you just gear the character with what you need out the chests, then load a backup and continue as normal.

Your character is fully geared and you haven't used up any gear out your chests.

This is so broke, and I don't know how they are going to get around it.

This is really not that complicated of a fix. And as long as there's no multiplayer update yet, all these things only ruin your own experience.

Let them, who cares. This is not an MMO where things like this has any effect on your gameplay, belive me, people are gonna use cheats and trainers for this, but its luckily a SP/Coop game with optional PVP.

I dont do PvP.

Yeah you're right, remove backups and it's fixed, that would fix the whole dupe issue and it's not that complicated.

But i'm assuming they've got a robust system in place for the backups and they'll really not want to cut that out which adds in the complexity of fixing it without removing backups.

Multiplayer is irrelevant other than more people to find better items to dupe and trade.

There's no easy fix that retains both realm-backups and the ability to realm hop on your character.

They could track each item over all realms, but that would be crazy to get working and would be always online.
They could link characters items to realms, so your character is saved to the realm like a chest, but that would suck.

There isn't any simple straightforward method to get around this dupe exploit that doesn't overhaul how the game currently handles realms and characters, they can't even link characters to realms because with multiplayer the realm-host could damage their character.

The only things I can think of that would remove this exploit, that don't require some form of crazy item tracking code, would be:
- Remove backups.
- Characters exist only on realms (no realm hopping) and get saved to the realm and backup.
- Character items are saved to the realm, so realm hopping you take zero items with you.

I actually found a trainer out there today when looking into this dupe stuff, it modifies numerical values so anything that can increase as a value you can change:
- Level
- Stats
- Money
- Item Stack Count
- Health + regen
- Stamina + regen
- etc

The only thing it can't do is spawn items and duplicate non-stacking items.

There will always be cheats out there, but I'm not risking my computer by downloading external programs to try and cheat a game, as many others won't. However a in-game exploit that does things like this should be fixed, I just can't see how they can fix it without changing the realm/character interaction.

I will not use this bug, if you want to cheat just go ahead but this will be fixed sooner or later. I rather play as intended even with any EA flaws.

Who knows maybe save wipe is needed to fix this save system. Still I hope not!

Well there we go. Might even try it for the higher level gear we sinply cant use because we dont have enough stat points to allocate.

Not like im ruining everyone elses game, wanna test stuff.

If its safe, ill prob try it at some point, so many weapons i can craft but not use,wanna check their movesets.
