Camera needs work
So after making it to the "endgame" I can say I have thoroughly enjoyed this game. I don't have to many gripes with any particular facet of the game except for one big heavy hitter.

As stated, the camera needs some work. It to zoomed in in certain areas and after doing dailies, not bring able to manage the camera can be detrimental in certain places.

Examples that come to mind are :1)the bottom left corner of the Black Trench. Often, I would go here to kill Nith enemies for a bounty and I cross the bridge to that area I would be bum rushed by 2-3 guys before I can even see or lock on. 2) the crucible (arguably the worst offender) where there are times you go around a corner or up a cliff to have a enemy bum rush you with zero time to react.

Either more zoomed out camera in certain areas or the ability to shift your camera while not locked on so as to get a better read of the land would be immensely helpful. Obviously, I'm up for any change that what reduce the camera problem.

Yes. More generally, the camera suffers from being positioned such that there is very little space between your character and the bottom of the screen. I've never run off the top of the screen, but several times a sudden ledge has appeared at the bottom of the screen just as I'm changing direction, the contextual jump launches me off to my death.

Oh cool. I don't read through every post on every forum board but I appreciate you providing the information for me. I'll definitely have to swing by there and see what I post over there when I have the chance.

I do not have a problem with the camera work in this game in general, however, it definitely could use some improvements. The situation described by OP is more related to aggro range of enemies, which is often larger than your visibility range. I absolutely agree this should not be the case and I should not draw aggro before I can actually see the enemy.

Few camera-related suggestions:
1. I dislike when camera starts zooming in or out as it makes me feel queasy. This camera movements should be minimized and made smoother to lower this effect.
2. When getting behind solid object, the camera can sometimes not properly show my character.
3. Solid object blocking player character should have more clear delineation to indicate it is an object that can not be climbed.
