Nameless pass
[3440x1440 (60Hz) | Ryzen 7 7700 | RX 7900XT | 32Gb RAM 5200Mhz | 7Gb/s M.2 SSD]
What the hell is up wit the performance in this area ? It is absolutely abysmal.
Once i reached the cliffs the game was not able to keep 60FPS and in combat i had like 39-45FPS.
So i put the game on "Performance" and at 50% render scale... and the game produced maximum of 54FPS while using 60% of my GPU. Not gonna lie i laughed a bit.
Please for the love of God fix the performance.

I'm glad I waited for others to do the paid beta testing this time round.

They have released 6 performance hotfixs that has improved performance, but yes, more is still needed.

As an aside, you should never complain about performance and not list your PC specs.

My machine performs without issues since day one, game settings are all set at 100%. Are your settings cranked up past 100%? That might be your problem, so many people cranking up the settings past 100% and claiming there's a performance issue (ha)

Intel Core i7 13620H (1.8GHz) Processor
64GB DDR5-4800 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Graphics Card

No. Quality i swapped to Balanced later. And 95% render scale.
I assume you play at 1080p.

Why would you play in 4k but at 60 FPS at max is beyond me? I tried 4k on my rig and it was very unstable on most settings but the game runs without any major issues at 1440p and max quality settings.

You're trying to play at the same settings as I am on a 3080 Ti getting similar performance. The xx50 series GPUs are budget cards, dude. Try dropping to 1080p if you can and see if that helps. Although, I hear the game can be very CPU heavy, which might explain why lowering the resolution doesn't seem to help much. There are a TON of physics simulations going on at any time.

32 GB RAM
3080 Ti
1TB NVME SSD

You mean me ? I don't play on 4K and i do not play on "max" settings either.

I dunno who are you replying to but @PrimusNephilim never mentioned their resolution.

I have a 4080 Super and the game's performance is abysmal. What resolution are you playing at that you get good performance on a 4050? 720p? Have you recorded your average FPS and 1% lows?

New tech, ie. 40xx cards, have a lot of issues in newly released games. It can also be matter of what driver are you using. It was reported that newer version of Nvidia drivers cause performance degradation while older version 551.86 works just fine.

I play the game at 1440p and max quality settings without any serious problems. Only issue I have noticed is a bit of traversal stutter when you move from one area to another. My rig is: i9 12900KF, RTX 3080Ti, 32GB DDR5 RAM, NVMe SSD, Windows 11 and Nvidia driver 551.86.

That doesn't sound right. New tech is what the new games are designed for. Running Alan Wake 2 with path-tracing on at over 100FPS can attest to that.
