Everyone who writes that they don’t have freezes or FPS drops is either lying or trolls.
This is by far the most critical flaw in the entire game.
I'm running an i7 12700k with an RTX 4090 and NVMe. The frametimes are VERY inconsistent even for an RTX 4090. The devs will definitely need to do some massive tweaks to the game because as good as it looks, there's absolutely no reason outside of lack of optimization that a game like this should perform this bad. Some of the weapon art with magic particles will have massive slowdowns. The witches that throw the fire give massive frametime spikes. The mountain gate at the end of the nameless path has massive drops in framerate. Anytime there's a zone transition there are massive frametime spikes. The entrances to Sacrament to example always have big hitches.
I'm running it on a 7900xtx and I also have fps drops when i'm navigating between different zones.
I think it's mainly due to how the shaders, world/zones, textures etc loading/unloading in ram/vram because when i am in the middle of a zone I have nearly zero fps drop and the game run very smooth.
Dubious... no problems with 4080@7700x 32GB RAM 6000Mhz
Yawn.
Annnnddd.....there's the a.s.s.-hole comment we were all waiting for.
Other than traversal stutter spikes, I can't find anything unusual. The frame times are not inconsistent for me.
btw if somebody know how implementation of dlss works i would be happy to learn more about it.
Does it need training? specific programming for each game? i always wonder why it takes time to implement dlss
Oh, we do. We absolutely do.
And you're running in 4K with everything maxed?
7950X3D with RTX 4090, 64GB 6GHz RAM and 12.5GBps bleeding edge NVMe. It stutters. Oooooh, it stutters. And I will to my death say it is due to Unity. All tests ever done shows that Unity has severe performance issues when it comes to large data handling, no matter how much you use a custom render pipeline and try to optimize it.
But didnt they made a new engine from scratch for this game?
edit: after some research, it uses a customized unity engine
