Mac release soon?
Most games seem to do better if they release on Mac. BG3 was on Mac before Xbox. No man’s sky is on MAc now too. Perhaps make MAC release? I would like to try this

MacOS and OSX has pathetically low 1.35% market share. LESS THAN LINUX. You also can't just click a button and then magically a software works on a completely different operating system. Porting takes time, effort and money and splits both development and testing teams.
While they are using Unity, which eases porting quite a lot, the game is pretty well beyond the scope of "simply click a button to port", and I'm not sure how much custom code and what render pipeline they're using as well and how much that would need to be worked on.

That said, they have said they're working on it. But no ETA.

I honestly don't get why people still buy Mac with x86 architecture. So limited, so insanely overpriced. Luckily they are dropping in use year after year, so we hopefully will see Mac completely fade out at some point, and only Macbooks left with the M# chips survive because they actually have some use.

Hello, I am a Mac user too an I play from Mac. To play this game on a mac you need a software called Crossover made by Codeweavers, which is based on WINE. You need a M1 or higher processor, an possibly 32 GB of Ram even if 16 could be enough.

That makes no sense.
Burger King is so much better (at least here in Norway).

I have it for work. I do data analysis, and I like playing games on it as well. I have 130 indie games. HADES is one of my faves

Nah it ran fine on 16mg. I even streamed it on a Samsung ultrawide.

The best indie devs release on MAC. Baldurs Gate 3, was available day 1 on MAC before Xbox live had access. I have over 130 indie games for MAC. ULTROS is available for MAC. No Mans Sky.

As for x86 architecture, RISC chips are superior to CISC chips. Few components, less power consumed, faster loading speeds. Intel destroyed the chip market in the 70s when they decided to stick with CISC technology advancement and not invest in RISC chips

The REASON ARM CPUs are more energy efficient, is because they also have a severely butchered instruction set, having a severe lack of features and are ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE to develop for and absolutely USELESS for anyone but home users. If you're a home user, good for you. The rest of the world know it's absolute pure and true garbage, and it is why Macs are plummeting in sales the last couple of years.

Please educate yourself: https://coffeebeans.io/blogs/arm-vs-x86-comparing-architectures-and-their-impact

This EXACT SAME REASON is why we don't use RISC in general. Because it has a severely butchered instruction set, making it have extremely limited functionality and making it PURE HELL to develop for.
Despite CISC standing for "complex", the versatility, the rich instruction set and extreme expandability is why x86 is far easier and superior to develop for and never will go away.

how is this relevant when we're talking about running a piece of entertainment media?
