Level Progression is kinda broken
Throughout the route between bosses, I feel like I go up 2-3 levels, but then suddenly the 11lvl / 21lvl spikes happen, where every area is filled with "dangerous" enemies dropping loot way out of my league. It feels like I need to grind ~8 levels to even stay relevant, before going to do next main activities.
- I know the game offers side activities, such as grinding money, resource gathering, upgrading town and house
- I know it's an early access and Moon wanted to show some level spectrum in such a short story
I just wish that the level steps would be reduced slightly, because I remember in my 1st playthrough, I got into Sacrament, got 2 quests with Nameless Pass and the sewers and just couldn't progress further without grinding to follow the story, which is the thing I wanted. I felt like the "break" from progression and grind was forced.

Does that makes sense?

Yes, there's a nonsensical leap in progression when you finish the two main quests. It's not smooth and you basically are forced to create a new realm in order to lvl up because your first realm will be too difficult.

It worked for well for me. I focused on exploring the world before story progression. I think part of the design is to give the player time between loot tiers to actually use and upgrade the gear they currently have. Even though the levels of loot jump by 10, the enemies don't jump so high as that. I like the system.

I see your point. Some kind of jump is necessary in order to give the player freedom to explore and upgrade. However, I still think 10lvls is just too much for a single action such as defeating a boss. I think 5 would be better, imo.

Xp gains seem a little low, especially for the difficulty. I don't mind a slow grind, but it does seem a little off.

It happens, when you finish "campaign" whole world is switched to level 21, it seam, no matter if you are level 12 or 15 and then it is core to play it, because normal mobs will kill you on 2-3 hits. After level 21, everything become to easy, Afetr "campain" content is very bad right now, basicaly after beating all quests you are done, except trial there is nothing to do.
