Video games have the potential to be considered art, and this particular game certainly falls into that category.
It's disheartening to witness numerous players expressing discontent with aspects like difficulty levels, blocking mechanisms, or teleportation. However, just as with any form of art, it's essential to appreciate the vision that the creative team have brought to life and embrace the beauty within it. If not, there is plenty of other games for everyone to go and enjoy.
Also, keep in mind this is early access...so more is to come, hopefully Moon Studios stay true to what we have seen and played so far, is my wish.
I like these games as well but always wanted an alternative like this cause I always play melee sword n shield or 2-handers and this combat feels so damn good. It's so statisfying to dodge roll behind the enemy and smash his head with a fully charged 2-handed sword.
I'm also looking forward to Titan Quest 2 but for me personally Wicked is something else, everything fits so well together and feels like it was designed after my wishlist for ARPGs. Last time I had this feeling was with Insurgency 2014 which was the perfect shooter for me and my most played game ever (over 1000h)
I think the game has a lot of potential, but they need to really up the difficulty somehow. Mobs give up way too easily and some mobs don't do any damage. This is why I can't say it's on par with the greats yet. With patches and the full game out it will most likely be one of the greats.
Then there's also the FPS issue. It should be running at least at solid 60 fps in every scenario on a decent PC.
Agreed, i have made a lot of characters already, but the most satisfying ones were melee, specially sword and board.
Mage is great too, but i dont like running from enemies, same with archer, unless i do a heavy build with those two they are squishy.
I have 4 characters, two of them mages, and the mage with the 2h Icebreaker is the most fun. Love running around in cloth armor, blinking in behind a foe and cutting them in half with a massive 2h swing. Almost never use the powerful OP magic on this mage! lol
Rad game tho.
