In life, sometimes we are the dog, sometimes we are the tree...
the realm gets backed up, so chest and vendors are snapshotted. but your inventory stays with you.
i don't think it's morally grey to make use of this, when most of the tier3 mats are nonexistent or minuscule nodes/drops and you need lots of them.
i don't think crucible is the natural progression after beating act 1. it feels like something you do after saturating naturally in act2 stuff to fill in gaps and farm legendaries, it absolutely becomes obsolete when T4 drops, so assuming act1 is 1-2-3, act2 should be something like 2-3-4 or even 3-4-5.
there's just no way this is the intended natural progression (rnging into chests only in crucible, vendor rng, 2 total silver nodes in act1), it feels like farming the extreme end of act1 for minmax items that SHOULD drop far more commonly in act2...
the diff between a set of T2 items and a fully upgraded T3 set is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge gulf.
