Struggling with Falstead Darak

I got to Darak before i beat the risen twins and barely got past faze one, immediate dying to the second faze. After defeating the risen twins (and being much stronger) I am still only getting to second faze. Im not sure but it seems that his difficulty has also risen along with the common enemy in the early areas of the game. I'm not sure how to progress and get stronger loot to be able to beat him (other then getting good). does anyone else have the same issue or something, i just think that bosses getting more difficult is a bit odd.

1. Go back to earlier areas level up! However the enemies scales up with boss kills.
2. Go to realms create new and level up that way. Then go back to your original realm!

BTW you have upgraded weapons and gear?

upgrade ur armor
also all his atk can be parry
parry is very op in game
fast weapon also good becos u have require less stamina to swing and faster react time when switch from atk to defence

Both his phases i do the same thing, i run far enough to bait his overhead attack on phase 1, i usually parry but you can dodge and attack, rinse and repeat.
Phase 2 i dont parry, cant get the time on those tentacles, so i run away and bait his jump attack, dodge under and punish him, thats it, i drink some focus flasks too on the second phase just to speed things up.
