How to farm silver?

Need a butt ton of silver to upgrade my gear. Is there an easy way to farm it?

Multiple Realms with upgraded General Stores. Check them everyday. The Crucible is another decent source of T3 mats but more unreliable and varied outside of the one guaranteed Birch tree. There are two Silver Nodes in the open world but, unless you get desperate or find yourself in the vicinity, I don't deem worth it. Future content will eventually solve this shortage.

There is no easy way to farm it as the game is far far from complete. That mine with the potion dude has one at the end, in the bottom left, before you dive down and go back to the entrance... that's the easiest one I know of...

For the time being not really. Silver/Birch will come normally with new areas.

I would love to be able to break items into materials, even if it's around 30% of the materials needed to craft them.

Look for a crane that you can use to move a platform to reach some vines. After the elevator there is a whisp. Past the whisp there is the crane on an upper area of a cliff.
