Elevator lever to library not working

I made it to the library earlier today and explored around the multiple areas/floors saved and quit. Started playing this evening. MADE MY WAY BACK TO THE AREA UNDER THE LIBRARY. Killed all the bad guys. Made my way to the elevator to the library and the lever will not work. All gears are present. The lever simply will not pull. It worked fine when I played this morning. But will not work this evening. No way to get up to the library again.

I have the same problem, man. I even saw that there was a rope ladder on the second floor balcony, but I didn't use it because I didn't see it and you know what pisses me off is that it hasn't been fixed yet. I really wanted to make a good review about the game, but I probably won't.

I have the same issue. I got some backpains when I went up with the elevator so I didnt have time to search everything there. After going back to the library elevetor the lever doesnt work anymore.

Does the game have any cheat codes or anythign so I could fly up or something?

I ran into the same issue - luckily I read about it beforehand and made a save backup like 20 min before. It's mind boggling that the game was released with game breaking bugs like this...
