why do you need a map? darksouls never had a map. you had to remember ♥♥♥♥..just like this game. having a map just makes it easy mode. im glad there is no map.
l agree that not being able to revisit previous acts is a bit of a bumber and devs should give the option to travel back to acts the player previously visisted.. but to say there is no environmental signs for the plaayer to know were they are is a lame excuse.
you just have to use your memory a bit more. i am glad there is no map. it would make the game easy.. part of the chalange is learning to remember the areas.
as i said just like in darksouls there was no map in that game for anything and some areas had much less environmental signs to know where to go more so then Graven and that gose for all 3 of the souls games.
Outside of going to a specific direction there's nothing that tells you where any location is. Having a basic sign in the main hub is all they needed to add. Otherwise the player needs to go to the location and wait for the name of the area to pop up. Heck I imagine most were stumped at the start when you need to go to the sewers.
The game is already easy a map wouldn't change that given the original map wasn't that great.
Dark souls gives you plenty of short cuts, fixed directions and open area for the player to know where they are graven doesn't do this. From the hub you don't know which direction goes to which area because there's no visual sign post. Even dark souls 2 and 3 did this.
