GRAVEN

What's wrong with the game?
Honestly, I don't understand what the developers wanted to do. I'll start in order.

1. An incomprehensible location under the city, when you arrive for the first time, in my opinion it is empty and seemed to be made faster, as if they were in a hurry to catch the train.
2. The weapon somehow feels different, the first staff is stronger than a sword, crossbow, and so on.
3. Boring enemies, stupid as traffic jams, the same ones.
4. Absolutely empty locations with meaningless secrets in the form of mana and health + supplies.
5. The main character - in the form of a holy priest, somehow did not fit into this game, it was necessary to make a hermit knight, otherwise the whole game you look at Jesus in the main menu in torn fabrics.

CULTIC from you was much better and like a breath of fresh air.

they removed the map. they made a click bait out of the demo.

Not really click bait it was in EA, but then removed for full release because "too hard"

why do you need a map? darksouls never had a map. you had to remember ♥♥♥♥..just like this game. having a map just makes it easy mode. im glad there is no map.

Game is split up into acts you can’t revisit plus there’s no environmental signs for the player to know where they are.

l agree that not being able to revisit previous acts is a bit of a bumber and devs should give the option to travel back to acts the player previously visisted.. but to say there is no environmental signs for the plaayer to know were they are is a lame excuse.

you just have to use your memory a bit more. i am glad there is no map. it would make the game easy.. part of the chalange is learning to remember the areas.

as i said just like in darksouls there was no map in that game for anything and some areas had much less environmental signs to know where to go more so then Graven and that gose for all 3 of the souls games.

You actually can go back after finishing the game but there's little reason short of some secrets the matter little.

Outside of going to a specific direction there's nothing that tells you where any location is. Having a basic sign in the main hub is all they needed to add. Otherwise the player needs to go to the location and wait for the name of the area to pop up. Heck I imagine most were stumped at the start when you need to go to the sewers.

The game is already easy a map wouldn't change that given the original map wasn't that great.

Dark souls gives you plenty of short cuts, fixed directions and open area for the player to know where they are graven doesn't do this. From the hub you don't know which direction goes to which area because there's no visual sign post. Even dark souls 2 and 3 did this.

There is a grand total of one secret you can't access before finishing the game. In act one there's a an office accessible from the main square that's protected by a magic wall, you acquire the ring that allows you to pass through in act two. What was in the secret? A ring that gives you the ability to slow your fall, something that would have been useful way earlier, but guess what? Only way it's useful at that point is if you join someone else's game in co-op.
