I know. I'm confused that the story doesn't explain any of it. Also, Grimwine is a person, in case you confused it with the town of Grey Watch.
You'd think finding the book would be a reveal and push the story forward somehow, but we learn nothing after fulfilling that objective. He was supposed to search for information about his magic, revival, and so on. We don't even get a journal entry saying "I didn't find anything in the library, what a bummer!".
Instead, John Graven decides, "now I'm gonna go burn a house people wanted to burn back in the day".
Yes, and you find the book, you interact with it, and no text whatsoever appears on the screen or in the notebook. It didn't do anything in my playthrough. It was a lever to trigger the ghost miniboss to spawn.
Act 1 never explains why you started in Cruxfirth. You awake there surprised to be alive. You remember the town having a library so you seek it out.
You solve the plague because there's nothing else for you to do. You can't leave town with it in place, and people need someone with combat skills.
Adopted daughter. No wife.
And, there should be a journal update after interacting with the book in the Library.
Do you remember which one this was?
I remember being surprised that the library quest simply got struck off in the journal.
I think that's where you get the quest to burn the old house, hoping to kill the plague. However, I was under the impression we're looking for the library to look into our case, not that of the plague. Did I misunderstand the notes?
He prity much found nothing but killed groundskeeper and legion of cultists so he went to trample their living tree cause trees are affraid of fire and smart tree must live in fireproof house.
you also shouldnt just rush trough the acts as it was a normal shooter but actually need to explore every possible secret and clue. i missed a note then found it because i backtracked an area for finding out where to go after i got the ice spell, and afterwards accidently got to crimwines castle entrance/bridge
