Resonating Stone bug?

I think I encountered an issue whereby the green stone that is applied to the staff didn't properly register. I picked it up from the library, got the pop-up mid-fight but it didn't appear on the staff and selecting the staff doesn't highlight breakable walls. Am I missing something or?

You can select the staff stones from the inventory menu

I can't even find the stone, it's not where I remember it being

Some items are in different locations in the full version.
The resonating stone has been moved.

It is still on the main path, you can't miss it.

In the belltower of the library, you need a key to access the stairs.
