Gold Tokens bought on Steam can't be used to by Tally Order / Season access?

I see Angela had introduced the tally order / season pass system i bought gold tokens through the steam shop. The steam shop shows i have 10k gold tokens but the in game counter shows 0 gold token and it wont let me use the gold tokens i bought to buy the season pass / tally order. I have tried relogging and waited 4 + hours and relogged again.

This cant be right i bought the right currency specifically for this purpose and the way its set up i cant use the currency for its stated purpose. This needs to be urgently fixed.

FYI i play on a private server.

I would not think that private servers can use gold anything? I'd be surprised. Usually the whole point of a private server is that it's a sandbox disconnected from the way official servers work.

The Tally order (season pass) window is not greyed out like the mail window or other features unavailable on private servers and all the options to claim Tally quests etc are present.

However they dont work but you cant find that out until you spent "none refundable" cash on Gold tokens in the steam shop (also available in game on private servers). And It actually does state on the private server interface you can unlock the Tally order/ Season Pass for 6500 gold tokens.

I know its a long shot but if the developers see this is there anything that can be done here?

it does not work on private server but only offical servers for obviose exploiting reasons. Especially the collect missions could be exploited on aprivate server by just settign the colelction rate way higher. Besides it unlocks stuff for offical servers that are harder to get there

Then i think it should be greyed out like the other options such as "mail" etc that are unavailable on private servers. Otherwise it lures players into spending real money on something that is of no use to them.

Even though technically its non refundable it was purchased through steam so you may be able to contact steam and explain the situation. Other than that you could spend it on skin boxes.

FYI, it's not bought through steam. but via a browser window within steam linked to their website, https://store.mythofempires.com/ . Virtual currency, anyway is non refundable even for those listed on steam store.

Also I don't even know why anyone want to spend money on private server for p2w resources? Get a leg up on whatever as you can cheat whatever you want, have godly rates and so on...

Doesn't matter. It's not via steam store. Wallet is just a wallet for payment provider, like credit card or paypal.

It does matter, because if the devs are misleading you on purchases, steam can step in, just like any other payment processor. They would be just as liable for the fraud. Misleading consumers is pretty serious. You know, like credit card disputes, and paypal disputes since you wanted to use those 2 examples.

Dang, wish id seen this before i bought the gold tokens. thought it was a bug when i couldnt buy the tally order, just wanted the time limited skin but dont want to deal with people on official.

well if you have not used the gold tokens yet I have a suggestion. Buy blind skin boxes, but first check steam market to see what sells good, then sell the skins you get from them on the marketplace, you might get lucky and make a profit.
