cant purchase tribute with golden stamps?

I bought 887 stamps, tribute costs 886. How do I pay it?

Which tribute? protection timer against pvp attacks or decay protection.

If you have 2 weeks for decay protection, you can't buy any more. There's also a limit for pvp protection.

You buy the gold, then convert gold to stamps (in the guild screen I think it is?), then check the box that's like "buy with stamps", then it should just work. If you can post a screenshot of where the problem is, maybe we can see it. I do this every week with no issues other than remembering where to convert from gold to stamps. I can step through it tonight and get more specific if you're still stuck.

decay timer. our timer was over and we were trying to renew it

Yeah we bought the stamps, and at the marker we clicked the box to renew with the stamps, and nothing happens. The marker was decaying.

So yeah, I'm on the "Tribute & Upgrade" page in the marker's inventory menu. I click "Purchase with the Go" under tribute and now I can "Prepay tribute for next week" (I already paid this week). Costs 689 stamps. I have 690. Click the button. Now it says "Tribute paid for next week". My decay protection expires 4-14 now. I have 1 stamp left.

I'm on PvP Official. No idea how it works on any other server type. Not sure if it can work on private servers. And PvE is different in some ways, though I don't see why they wouldn't let you pay for tribute with gold/stamps in an official PvE.

(And for anyone wondering, $1 = 650 gold tokens = 650 stamps. So slightly more than $1 to pay my guild's tribute for a week. If we paid it with in-game resources, it would have been 1709 whole wood, 1709 whole stone, 1709 copper ore and 136664 activity points. And we are maxed out on Family Business for our guild level (7). Pretty dang economical to just pay your protection and tribute with cash money. Sales are through the Steam store. I would not use the in-game browser for this. Nor would I have done it if I had to give my credit card info to a Chinese game company. But since they use Steam, only Steam gets my credit card, and they've had that for years... Costs me about $1.50 for the full stack of weekly protection -- 120 hours.)
