Is this game worth it?

I have read numerous comments and watched alot of videos, but is this game worth it right now? I really would like to read some serious in-game comment experiences. The commentsection is always flooded with minimal depth. Please help me :) With kind regards

I will answer you questuon but first I need to ask you a couple of things - what do you want outta the game ? Are you interested in cluster f's on official servers? Private server pvp ? Private server pve ? What kind of gamer are you? Relaxed grinding gameplay, immersion seeker who take loads of screenshots, hardcore pvper? Etc etc..

Subjective, especially based on actual comparative gameplay experience like had played Ark, Conan exiles, Rust etc of similar survival PVP game.

Worth it? 70 bucks, 40 bucks, 35 bucks? What's worth? lol.

I play solo on a dedicated server. And this has quickly became my favorite survival game of all time. It's complex but in the best possible way. Love the game - worth it. Way worth it

Thank you for asking me these questions. It has been a while (years) since I have thought about it.

In the past, I could really enjoy a game like fallot 3,NV and 4 and more open-world games where I can build a settlement with npc characters or a npcteam or with 1 ally and explore the world. exploring, enjoying scenery etc.

Im a PvE gamer, not pvp, no hardcore gaming anymore. I want a game that has a progression system, through leveling up, earning XP, not to grindy, I love scenery, games with a large map and view, I dont mind the fantasy aspect. I love it when I can have NPC teammembers, I love Lore in a game. It has to have a story.

Starting out with almost nothing and working my way up towards something. Graphics are important but smoother gameplay is better

I have tried alot of games and I think I am burned out at the moment when It comes to gaming. I cant seem to enjoy a good game anymore, purely the fact also that alot of devs are greedy and want to extract as much money as they can get. I would love to have hundreds of hours in a game but instead I buy alot of games and merely touch them, just bc they dont scratch that itch it seems. But Its primarely a "me problem"

Well, I play with my cousin on a PVP server. We built properly on the top of a montain and no one is able to hit us for now (maybe once they can "Fly").

The game itself is cool. Taming horses, selling slaves, etc. I like it. It is up to you.

I'm playing a EU PvE server. I dont like the PvP...

It is totally worth it! I understand Snail that to sue Angela game... They build a much better game with same engine. The modells, animation, building, OPTIMIZATION, the atmosphere are much much better that in ARK. suspicious to me that Angela Games guys are help a lot with ARK: Survival Ascended ... On original Ark, the animation (for example animals and players) and a lot of things are horrible... In Ascended, it evolve a lot... But it REALLY looks like this game :) (Buth Myth of Empires still looks a lot better!!)

Sounds like there is no offline play, so it's not even worth free-to-play for me.

You can play offline via solo/hosted. It's a self contained server on your PC. You can even LAN it and play within the household with friends, family or neighbors and unplug your internet...

It's very worth it, esp if you have found a guild/community you can depend on. It's a game you can spend hundreds if not thousands of hour. The character progression is insane. An mmo can live decades just from character progression alone. It's a grindy game in a good way.

Oh? There is a lot of misinformation flying around, then. Many people have said you need to be online to play this game, even in solo.

Thank you for your kind reaction! I think it's a me problem bc, (im 36now), When I first got to gaming there was no internet or barely any internet. Games like age of empires, red alert series, where you can build bases and run strategies are the world. And im not blaming online gaming whatsoever. for me, the scene shifted when games came with DLC, then Passes, then micro transactions and it destroyed the gaming in general. Also, how do Devs expect a game to get good reviews and support when all they do is the bare minimum for players but want to squeeze money out of them. Back in the day, the big devs comps. brought big game releases and they put everything they have in their game, "their baby" as they often told people.. and now they want fast cash, pre order ♥♥♥♥ and stuff like that..

And now the supply of games is through the roof, early acces, pre-alpha,alpha,beta etc is wild. now the demo's are making a comeback. What the heck...Why did they dissapear all of a sudden...

I dont know, maybe im having a mid-life crisis or excestential crisis LOL.

I think I miss the old days too much hahaha. Maybe I find solace in this game when I try it.
