Bow or Crossbow ?
Which one is better ? Can expertise points be re-spec'ed or can I max everything ?

Is expertise point gained from level up ?

I prefer the crossbow (for hunting) - basic crossbow does much more damage than the crude bow, is easier to aim and it has a much better range. Slow reload but 5-6 bolts versus ~15 arrows to kill deer etc is a much less painful way to get hide in early game.

I see, because I've invested quite a while to bow and want to stick to it, havent tried xbow, but will switch if there is a strong reason that xbow is much better. After upgraded the level, bow is quite fun to use and I quite like it for hunting.

I did Bow yes it less damage and more arrows but when taking into account the reload time and damage output i fell the bow is just a slight bit better if you have to move and shoot

Yea I hate the reload time thats why I stick to bow. I read that we can actually learn everything so maybe later will get both.

Bow. For hunting. You can move and avoid boar charge and still head shot it even when in close range (You can shoot even when the recticle is still big, just know how projectile trajectory works )... lol.

Xbow maybe for NPC, that's it. Hit once or twice, switch to weapon and fight or flee and reset aggro and try again...

For the beginning bow is better. It gives bonuses to hunting, and you have a few more options available where the crossbow only has one version you have to craft from the weapons bench. So, maybe not the best choice if you are still early in.

Crossbows have a lot more punch to it, and later versions are a lot easier to reload and manage, but that is going to take a while.

And expertise points are earned through your character level

I see, so its better to learn both long term.

Anyway, is the expertise points one per two levels ? Because my last leveled up I didn't get any.

I just leveled up again and I didn't get expertise point, it's weird.

I think, you earned expertise points every 5 or 10 levels, i'm not sure anymore, I'm afraid. Once you reach 60 you get enough expertise to set 5 expertise to a few skills, though.

And Crossbow is a good choice if you are defending your base or have your warriors with you. Reloading most Crossbows requires you to stand still, and you also can't do it if you are on a horse, so it's a bit more cumbersome than a bow.

So it's not exactly the most important starting skill, but a good choice once you know what you are doing and how to find a opening to reload

Crossbow is good in pvp defence from walls. Nothing more.
