Why is this game running with 100% CPU usage?

Hello, I have a question, why exactly does the game run with 100% CPU load in single player? I work as a game developer myself and have never seen anything like this.

No, my PC is definitely not outdated. The recommended specifications for the game are listed as follows:

Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600

I am currently using a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU. In my opinion, this game is poorly optimized or lacks polish. As I mentioned earlier, I work for a major publisher on AAA games. If the CPU usage reaches 100% even with a Ryzen 5 1600, it indicates that the game is poorly optimized. A well-developed game, especially a survival game, should not excessively burden the CPU. Such high CPU usage is more acceptable in complex simulations like flight simulators, but not in a typical Survival Game.

Dependent on the graphic card too but it should be using about 90%~100% or so CPU only during the first few minutes since it's running a server container on your PC for the game even for solo.

It's not a true single player game, that's why it's named solo/hosted. That server instance+game client however will stabilize to about 12~20% CPU usage after a few minutes in-game when it finishes "loading" and then spike whenever you travese different zones.

I did not try this, perhaps you can start MOE without EAC since solo/hosted still works in that mode. Maybe it can further reduce your cpu load over time.

My wife's PC was running at very high CPU usage as well. On a whim I inspected it physically and found it was fully of an amazing amount of dust bunnies. I thoroughly cleaned it and CPU usage dropped like a rock. I wouldn't think of dust as a cause but apparently it was for her.

im using 7500f and 100% happens when it is loading the visual details like the people in farm or something usually when teleport. mine spike to 100 for a few minutes and goes back
to normal. My gpu is 4070

It happens only when you first zone in a part of the world. If you teleport around via the server cheat, world have to sync and load again for each zones. Spike up to 100% cpu and drop down to 15% or so. If you set to lowest settings and limit to 30fps, it drops down even further, 8%?

yes because the company that makes millions from selling the game that would be ruined if it was exposed that this is true ( it is not) would risk it for pennies compared to the money they make from the sale of the game the dlc and the cash shop...

Yeah but i'm enjoying what they've brought into the game at the moment With the stream drops And it is a beautiful game to Play on But I only play sp for the Steam Drops As I love trading Card And cosmetics Makes a game a bit more fun to play And Grind for it

an i5? i have had an i7 for going on what 5 years now? yes your computer is a potato

Read their reply again. They don't have an i5.
