Cheaters always win when they figure out what cheat to use, it's why we despise them.
In terms of PvP Last Oasis died because ESP (location) and scripting (block all attacks perfectly) cheaters. So they knew where to go and never took much damage because they used scripts to essentially auto block and attack. Engagements they were not suppose to win they won because of cheaters. Thus the players they killed lost interest because nothing they did worked. The developers listened to the wrong player base. The toxic community reinforced git gud mentality and the game lost it's player base far too quickly.
It also depends on what region of the world you talk about cheaters.
Asian China = Meshing
Asian Filipino = Aim Bot
Americans = Scripting
Sweden = ALL / .dll
European = Speed Hack
Russia = ESP
This list can go on and on but you get my point. The majority of cheats used per region. You start to notice trends depending on who you are against. When ofc talking about cheaters anyone can cheat in any way but the majority of respective regions all favor one cheat over another.
Cheating can NOT happen in PvP games, go cheat in single player idc. When you disrupt the normal balance and flow in life it matters. The domino effects and implications that cheating has is vast. Nobody wields the power, nobody here does, to question fate. When you change the outcomes that should not be changed it has domino effects that ripple.
I ask you this. If I got up and walked over to you and proceeded to smack you in the face, how long would you allow me to do so before you react? Your reaction will dictate the outcome of what's to come next.
Long story short if you can not stop the smacking you find a way to disengage from that scenario all together. Nobody wants to sit around being helplessly smacked. They just won't be apart of it, at some point.
Cheaters do not lose much. Hence the definition. Unfair advantage. It's usually enough that those players upset the balance. It's not a matter of if I like cheating or not, this is facts. Cheaters only cheat because they win. Every time they do though they teach a good player that should have won that what they are doing is wrong because what they did didn't work.
Thus throwing everything out the window, competition and PvP doesn't mean anything anymore. It's such a lost concept I don't know if kids these days even know what true healthy competition ever was or is. Cheating is that prevalent and popular, sadly.
