check the architects table.. im not sure but i noticed i can break down other stuff there..

stones to rubble.. etc

Until I can make the stone mill (which I didn't know about yet) I seemed to recall getting reasonable sand yields from clay, too.

stone mill only works food items.

As far as i am aware there currently is no way to make sand except gathering from clay and stone nodes

Maybe raiding a collection point will get you sand.. not sure... went to an empty one and there is a sand pile with a quarry inventory.. of course it was empty .. so not sure.

The breaking up of the rocks to get sand is a bit of a North Korean Labor Camp approach in this game. Maybe the Devs are laughing at us.
