MOE and Conquerors Blade are both good, but totally different games. That Copyright claim is strange.
But the way it was removed from the Steam store does raise questions. It is even a mystery on Reddit as to why it was pulled in this fashion. And Facebook plus Twitter tells us no more then what we have here.
Searching around the Internet I cannot find anything to back up the rumor mentioned by the OP, yet.
But translating the Chinese threads, I found this post:
Weibo said it was reported by NetEase, saying that he copied the war intent

Digging around, I found that NetEase are the Chinese game publisher that seems to deal with Conquerors Blade in China.
And CB was developed by https://www.boomingtech.com/client/products
yes~ this is it. Thats why i said is rumor. Quite reliable because i know china gaming industrial style enough. They use this kind of tricks to attack their challengers. Although the copy claim will fail, but at least reduce the population of the game.
I know the Steam forum can be hyperbolic over things but this does sound reasonable, considering the little we are being told.
I mean it works because of Steams kneejerk policy towards allegations, my guild leader cant donate towards county battle because the game needs to update which he cannot do since steam has cut all support for the game. So entire guild just made dozens of black iron gear for nothing i guess since everyone will have meteor gear after this week.
Seems, based on various forums that NetEase is considered a pretty bad game publisher from the gamer point of view. They predominately do business in China and seem to have made their name with mobile games.
The indication is that most Chinese players think they make western publishers like EA look akin to something like a choir boy. The general feelings expressed was that they are in it just for the money and have a history of playing dirty with customers and other publishers.
I have no idea about that but it seems some think that way and maybe NetEase got worried.
Two totally different games. So far im in love with MoE and conqhowever you spell it seems like a average console game
