While the game is quote "fully playable", there are a few design decisions that don't really make sense to me.

One example of a confusing design would be that you have to choose the size of your train station right from the start, and there is no real way to upgrade the stations once you have placed them. The way to upgrade a station is to bulldoze the current station, which costs money, then build a new one which costs more money!

Another confusing decision is that you can't connect two locations together through multiple transport methods the way you would think. For example; I created a train line that went from town A to B. I was later tasked with creating a transport route from town A to C. B and C were quite close together, so I figured I would create a bus line from B to C, and people could travel from A to B by train, then go to C via the bus route. Nope! The game has no idea how to handle that. You have to create a line directly to the town with a single transport method. (Note that there appear to be mid-point waiting platforms, but you can't build those close to towns, so I have no idea wtf is going on there.)

Yet another confusing development decision was to begin with road, rail, and rockets... but no air or sea? Just a mention that there "maybe" will be other types added later. It's really weird that your transport business can build interplanetary passenger rockets before they can build a cargo plane, or even a bloody boat!

One more, just to drive the point home. The road and rail creation a pain in the ass! It's cumbersome, and compared to similar games it just feels bad. What really put me off was when I tried to make two parallel train tracks and was greeted with a crisscrossing instant ramen noodle mess! Though there is a "manual placement" option, in case you wanted to switch between two different tiles in order to create a diagonal line. Problem solved, I guess! More fiddly pain in the ass work, yay me!

I don't intend to refund the game, but I do intend to change my recommendation if the game improves.

Sorry no, hard pass from a TTD veteran.
One question all TTD-Clones (and let's not pretend this is more than that) have to withstand is "does it offer more than the original?"
Here the answer is clearly no. Rockets don't add any gameplay- just a connection between different biomes.

What I would expect and what let me down:

- Updated graphics: It's a rather blunt copy of the original, but sprites, movements, tiles, buildings look wonky and out of place. No coherent artstyle. OpenTTD hasn't aged gracefully when it comes to it's graphics, but at least it's not a jarring mess.

-Quality of life and simple, intuitive UI: I gave up after a few minutes because I had to klick on the same buttons over and over again to perform simple tasks. Give me a key to close windows. The massive input lag doesn't help.
Please check out Transport Fever 2. It's such a joy to set up routes, upgrade stations, exchange vehicles, move them to different routes etc.

-Economy and simulation: Yeah, what's up with that? 3 Houses generate enough passengers for a full blown train line? Seems like it took the already rudimentary economy simulation of TTD and made it worse.

In the end, IMHO it should not have entered EA in this state. Performance is weak and hinders gameplay, balancing is strange and artstyle is off. Having sprites with wrong perspective jank around is no fun to watch.

TL;DR: If you like the retro artstyle, play OpenTTD, if you enjoy Eye Candy, polished UI and a complex Economy, play Transport Fever 2. If you want to set up a bus line on the moon this is for you.

I'll check on this again, but really, it shouldn't be THAT hard to take TTD and give it a 2021 overhaul.

Not really better than TTD aside from Graphics. It's got potential but until it's more polished I'm not sure why I'd play this over a free game that's better in every way except graphics.

A nice business management game. Relatively light game play; think of it like Mini Metro with more steps and depth.

Overall, because it's in early access, I think it's good, but I ran into some bugs and usability issues. I've put them below but I still think that this is a decent enough game, but probably should be a little cheaper.

My suggestions to developers after my playthrough on version 1.01:
- Less aggressive popups in the tutorial please. I was trying to build a train and the window popped up every minute or so after I closed it so I could focus on building, and the cycle repeated.
- The same tips appearing when I don't have capital to do research. It seems every month I received a tip to do vehicle research, any time I wasn't researching.
- Keyboard shortcuts are a must IMO. A key to cancel operations, switch to bulldoze mode, switch planets, etc.
- Early-game subsidises are sometimes impossible. I won't have the money to subsidize helium 3 to earth, building the most basic rocket is 700k+ and you barely start the game with that much.
- With subsideys, please allow us to quick-view both the starting and ending locations; finding the ending location is a bit difficult between location A and location B.
- If you're going to stick to a moving-window mechanism, allow windows to "save state" and be minimized. Opening and closing windows with the mouse became quickly tedious. A better window-management system would be nice.
- Performance optimization when zoomed-out would be nice. There is significant stutter when moving around with the WASD keys or right-click mouse.
- The "hill up" and "hill down" mechanism could be cleaner; it's difficult to tell what part is actually moving up or down. Maybe a transparent overlay of the final product rather than arrows? I many times accidentally raised or lowered the wrong thing since the arrow appears at the vertex, rather than the center.
- I wish I could, while they are in depots, share components, such as swapping out a train engine with the same cars. If this can be done, I couldn't figure out how to do it.
- Not all windows update dynamically. If I rename or recolor a line, I have to open and close the "Lines" window to find it updated, which is a hassle when trying to organize things.


Bugs I found in version 1.01:
- If you do "hill up" on an area and can't do it because of proximity to streets/rails, you are charged anyway and the "hill up" doesn't occur.
- Price mismatches on many items between the label price in the bottom bar and how much they cost when placed on the map.
- Sometimes my trains returned to the wrong depot; they would drive past the depot they were made on and went on to another line entirely. I'm not sure why.
- I'm pretty sure if you *start* a rail or road on a spot already with the rail or road, it charges you the cost of that square that already has the rail and road on it. If you start your rail/road one off, then it's cheaper by one square.
- It seems that some industries can be placed immensely far apart from their "home town". For example, I couldn't find an "East Wylington Factory" for 10 minutes until I searched for it in the industries tab, and it was basically on the other side of the map.
- The drop-down for selecting a line will *sometimes* cut off the text of the line; I named my lines "Passenger Line X" and put them all the same color, so it wasn't possible to figure out which line I really meant and had to go through them all.
- If you name two lines exactly the same thing by mistake, then they strangely interact with each other; I sometimes saw buses assigned to the wrong one or to both of them, somehow.

If i dont like a game i would never not recommend it because we are all different but when a dev releases a janky pile of crap like this and i have paid good money for this then i will have my say , The game is a mess.

I don't recommend buying at this point. The game lacks a lot. I've played since v1.0 and as moving forward the game kept a bad road for me. The camera movement was destroyed, game optimisation inexistent. I'd ask for a refund if I could.

Game idea itself is perfect. Very early access but thumbs up from me.

Suggestions:
I think its unnecessary to blur the map lines when moving.
When moving around map the "tool" resets. Very annoying when placing railways and making lines.
WASD movement would be better instant, the delay is only annoying.
Dedicated rotate button instead of choosing the building orientation from menu.
Performance seems bit off but I doubt its system requirement, some internal lag in the game?
Bigger maps like in other transport tycoon'ish games.
Most important do not never ever abandon this project, something special here.

This is clearly trying to be and updated vertion of Transport tycoon,
It pull that off for the most part,
The good stuff, very easy to play, if your played TTD or open TTD you probly not even need the tutoral.
the Rockets is a nice addtion and working towords going to other worlds is cool.
Town growth works well as does AI.

The Bad.
its missing the tabs to track the AI and buy them out like the orginal TTD something that need adding.
sometimes depots and station can be funny in line tracking.
a bit to easy to make money.

Addtions needed.
Add some challange modes

Best thing about the game is it is cheap (although many say TTD is better or much alike and free). Worst thing about it is you get what you pay for... cheap game and cheap quality of game.

Personally, I'll try TTD someday since free and will play Cargo Company someday when bored to check it out more. I much prefer Transport Fever 2 for more realistic transport of various types.

Like the idea of space travel, just got to Moon. Mars and Cirus in 1 year, quite easy to set lines, needed a bit of time to sort out how to do more than 2 platforms on stations but ok when you get used to it.
