This game will end as Total War Arena (TWA)?
Total War: Arena tried to join Wargaming's P2W tiered grind with an RTS style of game where a player base likes total balance between the available units. Mission impossible kkkk
The grind system fragmented the player base at various levels and increase queue time due tiers. I believe they should approach the Total War model (cheap and expensive units have their own advantages/disadvantages).
They could even have a tech tree, but they should all be able to fight in the same battle queue.

but how monetize such system ?
sure it would be 120% healthier if players always have access to best units BUT devs want to earn money from players continiously, not just as one time purchase.
game in a tight spot as it is, considering no one want to buy this game in a first place.

I believe that they will have to add a cap to the statistics to make the tanks with the highest tiers in a match have stats close to the lowest ones so that everyone can play together and improve the queue time. Paying players would have an advantage, but nothing to stop everyone from playing together.
Some mmoprg adopt the cap system to reduce character stats, for example, Albion uses the hard cap of about 20% max difference in stats between players to encourage grind, but allow matches between players more quickly.

the main issue I see is sadly the RTS community is nothing compared to the community that likes world of tanks, warthunder or World of warships and even those games haven't got a whole community.

Well, this game is never going to be huge. Success would be defined if they will manage to make this game sustainable. There is a lot still to be done in this game and it feels like more as a prototype than finished product at the moment. There is still years of development left depending on what developer wishes to focus in order for it to feel like a complete product.

In my eyes, it is GUI both in garage and in battlefield which needs most work at the moment for full release.

As for the success of this game, the major issue is developers bizarre choice to make it F2P game with initial purchase. Then they call this purchase as "early founder pack" or something. This is mind boggling decision and it shows that developers themselves are not sure what they are doing. It is fine to be paid early founders pack during early access, but this game is going to be dead on arrival if they are going to have such heavy grind system in a paid game. It must be free to play game in order to attract and to keep player base. Otherwise game will quickly die out due to low number of people playing it. Western audience do not look kindly upon F2P game with an initial price tag. There is no in-between here, it is one or the other.

It is worrying that it was free then paid as if it is a last chance of making money.

Shame, only just found out about this game and people are already calling it a low populated dead game.
And yes this game is in early access however a low turn out at this stage is not a good sign.
As much as I would like to support this game I will just wait till the release since last time I put money in and supported a game like this cough ARENA it shutdown.

It is online only, 10 v 10 with bots filling in if there aren't enough players
