So uh... God Mode glitch?

I don't know what happened. For some reason Kao's hitbox is just gone. I'm not getting hit from anything. The lava doesn't hurt me, enemies don't hurt me, I'm not losing lives.

I have no idea what happened. I think it happened after I exited an Eternal Well in the Lava stage but even then I can't recall how that could have turned Kao into a Kangaroo god. I've restarted the game, but I'm still invincible.

Anyone else have this happen?
