Ninja Gaiden 3: Not actually 4k?

So I tried running NG3 at 4k using the launch options. I can see that it worked because the window title bar says "Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge [4k]". The game doesn't look like it's running in 4k at all, however, and when I force it to run at 720p it looks exactly the same.

Is this game actually rendering internally at 720p and the resolution options are just for the window size?

It's definitely not 4k. I think the internal resolution is like 1080p or something even if the title bar says 4k.

only like for 1080p 60fps and i'm getting 30 fps sometimes...for all 3..

Thought I was the only one thinking this. Hope there's a simple fix int the coming weeks, like sheesh i just want to play NG3 in good quality

It's fake 4K, if you take a screenshot in Steam the resolution of the picture is only 1080P. Shame on Team NINJA, even emulator can run NG3RE in 4K 60FPS now !

And I think 4K for Sigma 1 and Sigma 2 are fake 4K, too. They are only 1080P !

I guess I found the reason. Go to your display setting and make sure the scale and layout is 100%, I think many people may increase it like I do, otherwise the text on monitor will be too small to see. But this will affect the actual resolution for some games.

Maybe its just how the game looks because I've tried all of the above and NG3:RE looks blurry compared to the other two.

Can confirm using both these methods definitely made the game display in 4k properly.

hm the 4k thing is strange...
When i start the game...its starts in a Window (4k)
if i click on it to make it Fullscreen...the Resolution drops to 1080p
