Does this game have a survival ish aspect to it?
Like as in you start with little and you work and buy house or property etc? i get this is more a car game but with all the variety of things you can do it would be awesome that you can work your way up to make your place bigger you know like make your own little empire of the job that suits you.

if its just driving with missions then im not really all that interested in it just yet.

Ive really got a craving for a game where you start with little and you work your way up and earn/buy properties and assests and be able to expand that way. if anyone has any suggestions feel free!

i dont really like 2d games so please dont recommend those.

ive tried farming sim since that fits my criteria but i just dont understand farming at all.

played euro truck a lot and like it but looking for a bit more expansive!

Yes you start at lvl 1 and have to work your way up in driving levels to unlock certain vehicles and parts. you can upgrade vehicles and it can get really pricey. ive got 160hrs and still do not own all the vehicles. You can specialize in Cargo, Taxi, bus, tow truck, police and the jobs you do increase that specific level. You also have a basic driver level that just increases each time you drive any vehicle.

There are some aspects of building an empire in this game.. but its not super in depth. you can buy up properties and build houses, garage, etc. there are furniture stores to decorate your house.

You can build a company and have set routes your trucks will run, but these are not primary money makers.

there is a crazy amount of detail modeled in this game- for instance, when you back your rig you have to get out and raise the landing gear. you can open and close doors on cargo trailers, open a fuel tanker and provide gas to online friends. you can attach lights, underglow, tuning suspension, etc. there are off road trail delivery where you will need a 4x4 to get up the mountain. the physics are great imo.

the game is early access so of course there will be bugs.. nothing game breaking for me.

imo the MOST fun in this game is when you jump on an online server and just interact with the community.... I dont have any steam friends but I have made tons of friends on this game and we do events, car shows, mountain coal runs, convoys ...

the game is most definitely worth the 20$ fee....

sorry for the long answer... not even sure if I answered your question.

try the demo? - again, online is where the fun is

There are small elements of that, but probably not enough of it to really scratch the Survival itch.
You can own three things in this game. Vehicles, a small company, and small residential properties.

The land is essentially fast-travel points you can unlock across the map. You can decorate them with a small variety of buildings, furniture, and driveways. The latter of which act as spawn points for vehicles.

The company is the main way to build up passive income and revenue in the game. Your company allows you to hire AI drivers to run Transit or Delivery routes for you. The Transit routes allow you to make money bussing people from place to place along established bus routes. Delivery routes allow you to ship goods along a circuit, ideally allowing you to supply local companies with food and materials. There is a much wider variety of jobs available to the player that is currently unavailable to AI drivers, like Taxi services, garbage collection, Towing, etc.

The AI drivers in your company will never make as much as a player can doing equivalent tasks. However, they are good at earning a small passive income, and helping grow the population of the local towns by moving people and goods around. Towns with higher populations give a bonus to all jobs completed in their area, which makes earning money to buy more vehicles and grow your company easier.

Growing those town bonuses, and expanding your company is the bulk of the content closest to what it sounds like you are looking for.

Vehicles are the final thing you can buy. They range from a small moped, to European supercars, to industrial freight and shipping trucks. Almost every vehicle is available to buy or rent. Rentals can be handy if you only need a particular truck for one or two jobs, though rental fees will cut into your profits. For company purposes, busses and freight trucks will be what you are looking for.

Do note that you have to supply your company with vehicles yourself. Using company funds to purchase trucks is not currently an option. You keep 100% of the revenue, but you are also responsible for 100% of the operating and expansion costs.

At the end of the day, it's a driving sim with a surprisingly robust economy. It's not a shipping and transit tycoon style game. The focus is firmly on hopping in a vehicle, and driving around. Doing so with purpose is optional. :)

Hopefully this has been helpful.
